Clare Johnston

Corporate Affairs Advisor London, United Kingdom

Clare’s career started in academia as a university law lecturer whilst undertaking legal research in the field of innovations and their impact on data protection. Following this, Clare went into private practice specialising in liability claims before shifting from a fee-earning role to focus on maximising the value lawyers achieve through ‘knowledge’.

In 2018, Clare joined Kennedys and is part of an advisory team that helps clients in risk-focused decision-making, identifying thought leadership opportunities and providing horizon scanning intelligence. With a particular focus on reforming civil litigation and the future of work, Clare takes responsibility for identifying the disruptions and strategic opportunities to insurers and employers alike.

Clare has spent time working in Australia and is an author and editor for CLT and the Kennedys Practice Guides. Clare has also been appointed to the editorial board member for JPIL and is a PhD candidate examining the impact of civil litigation reforms on the legal market.
