COVID-19: legal and ethical issues for healthcare - a discussion
In light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we are postponing our 'Young children, best interests and treatment decisions. Who should decide?' seminar due to take place in Cambridge on 31 March.
However, we would like to use the time to facilitate a webinar discussion on the legal and ethical issues COVID-19 is bringing to all our healthcare clients.
We know that all our clients will be grappling with the many legal and ethical issues relating to the treatment of patients with and without COVID-19 – including managing the triage process, communication challenges, resourcing issues, prioritisation and ceilings of care.
Whilst we cannot promise to have all the answers, we would like to use this webinar to share our insights and thoughts and use this forum to open up the discussion to this community.
Our Rob Tobin currently sits on the Intensive Care Society’s Legal Ethics and Advisory Group and has advised the National Emergency Critical Care Committee during this crisis on many of these issues. We are certain many of our clients will have greater hands-on insights from the frontline and we would be delighted to hear from you all in this forum.
Please let our events team know if you would like to join the discussion.
