Kennedys are pleased to support the national campaign, ‘Stop the scams’ which has been launched by the insurance industry in a bid to help the public spot the signs of scams and report these to the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) via Cheatline.

Recent figures show a rise of fraudulent claims by 5% in 2019, with many being linked to dangerous scams. There are also concerns that the current economic climate could mean a further rise. Following the 2008 recession, fraudulent insurance claims rose by 17%.

The campaign which is led by the IFB, along with the Associations of British insurers (ABI), and The City of London Police Insurance Fraud Enforcement department (IFED), is launched with the aim of helping the public and stopping the rise of insurance scams.
