The Insurance Fraud Taskforce - where are we now?
In January 2015 the Insurance Fraud Taskforce was set up to examine the insurance sector and focus on the public perception towards insurance fraud, the extent to which it was encouraged and how might the regulatory and legal framework be strengthened to prevent it.
Following an interim report in March 2015, a final report was published in January 2016, with progress update reports published through 2016 and 2017.
But with no 2018 update report where has the work of the Taskforce taken insurance fraud?
Our panel will lead a discussion to assess some of the most interesting findings and recommendations arising from the Taskforce.
- Behavioural economics and insurance fraud - the insight that can be gained and its role in counter fraud strategies
- How fraudulent claims are encouraged by enablers and public perception
- What impact the Insurance Fraud Taskforce has had so far, and what still needs to be done
