Profile

Louise is a Partner in Kennedys’ Sheffield office within the public sector and abuse Team. She predominantly deals with claims involving allegations of historic abuse and neglect against children and vulnerable adults. Louise’s work involves high profile and sensitive matters, advising on safeguarding issues, media interest and reputational risk. She also has experience dealing with claims involving allegations of stress, bullying and harassment, claims brought under the Human Rights Act 1998, data breach and general employers’ liability, occupiers’ liability and highways claims.

Louise has spent a number of years working on the drafting and operational management of a Redress Scheme for a Local Authority client, a form of ADR which compensates survivors of historic abuse. The scheme has received thousands of applications. She has received training from the National Association of People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC) to understand the best way to communicate with abuse survivors.

Louise often provides training for clients and thought leadership articles for both Kennedys and other organisations, such as ALARM.
