Ollie is a Partner in our Manchester office.  Ollie’s focus is on advising both insurers and corporate entities on data breach response, privacy issues, data subject litigation and cyber related policy coverage.

Ollie qualified with Kennedys in 2012, and is primarily based in our Manchester office. He has been instrumental in the development of Kennedys UK and global cyber offering and regularly spends time in other offices.

Ollie is an integral member of Kennedys breach response team, which provides 24/7 capability to respond to data breaches. He has acted as breach coach for a wide range of data breach incidents for all major sectors including e-commerce companies, professional service firms, healthcare entities, financial institutions, and the leisure industry. This includes advising on notifications to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and data subjects, as well as responding to investigation by the ICO or in accordance with the PCI Data Security Standards.

Ollie often acts on high-profile global data breaches which require notifications across numerous jurisdictions. He benefits from Kennedys ability to utilise its worldwide footprint to advise on data breaches affecting most major jurisdictions.

He also regularly advises a wide range of organisations (including multi-national companies) on data privacy and security risks and advises them on developing privacy policies, which comply with GDPR, and incident response plans.

Ollie is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL), regularly speaks at industry events both in the UK and overseas, and is a co-host of Kennedys' Cyber Sounds podcast. Ollie is a co-author of the latest edition of Kennedys’ Claims Handling Law and Practice Guide which was published in February 2021.
