Roger is a London-based partner, who leads Kennedys’ commercial aviation team.

He qualified as a barrister in 1987, and proceeded to qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2010. He has exceptional industry experience, having spent 10 years as in-house counsel to British Airways (BA).

Roger has advised airline clients in the US, UK, Europe, India, China and the Middle East on fleet replacement projects and aircraft and engine leasing arrangements. He has specialist expertise in engine OEM flying hour support arrangements and special guarantees, including fuel guarantees.

He has worked on a number of complex and high value matters, from negotiating a USD$1.5 billion engine maintenance service to working on the suspension, reinstatement and ultimate retirement of the BA Concorde fleet. His clients include airlines, aircraft operators, aviation industry clients, MROs and airline (re)insurers.

In addition to writing regularly for Kennedys’ publications, Roger speaks at many market events.
