Konstantin Saranchuk

Konstantin is a Consultant in Kennedys’ London office. He was admitted to practice in Russia as an advocate in 1997. He has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators since 2002.

Konstantin regularly works on a wide range of cases involving insurance and reinsurance, with an emphasis on work related to the resolution of insurance disputes. He has experience of providing legal advice and advocacy for multinational insurance companies working in the Russian market and for major Russian insurers on questions relating to insurance coverage and subrogation, and representation at domestic and international commercial arbitrations.

Konstantin specialises primarily in the insurance of all risks cover for contractors and property developers, including the risk of loss or damage to the structure itself and to property on the construction site, liability risks and property developers’ commercial risks.

Also, he specialises in all risks for industries and companies that use high-risk facilities, including the risk of loss of or damage to property, liability risks and the risk of financial loss from business interruption; as well as company directors’ and officers’ liability risks, including for publicly traded companies and where shares are traded on foreign exchanges.

He has experience in advising on risks for financial institutions (banks and professional participants in the securities markets), including risk of loss through fraud by bank employees and depositaries’ professional liability.
