Profile

Joanna is a senior corporate affairs lawyer in our London office.

Joanna qualified as a solicitor in 2003 while at Waltons & Morse, a specialist marine practice. Following Waltons & Morse’s merger with Kennedys in November 2016, Joanna joined the corporate affairs team, which is responsible for leading Kennedys’ global public affairs and thought leadership initiatives. This involves examining emerging insurance risks, including the impact of legal and political shifts, on the international insurance business environment.

With a particular focus on the London Market, Joanna takes responsibility for identifying issues affecting the sector and shaping a key research function. She has contributed to high quality evidence-based analysis on a portfolio of specific topics identified as disruptive to insurance business. This includes the use of drone technology and environment-led risks such as wildfires, as well as regulatory reform such as data protection and privacy.

Joanna is responsible for the firm’s portfolio of client publications, building strong business relationships across the practice to design and deploy strategic corporate communications and stakeholder engagement on behalf of clients.

Joanna contributed to the writing of Kennedys' 'Global forecast 2024: Evolving insurance risks' report, published in January 2024.
