The focus of his practice is the design, development and implementation of commercial solutions, contract advice, drafting and negotiation. This includes commercial joint ventures; insurance terms of business and policy wordings; construction contracts, professional appointments and performance bonds; and general commercial, regulatory and compliance advice.

James has over 30 years’ experience advising Kennedys’ private and public sector corporate and commercial clients, including in the corporate/commercial, construction, insurance, healthcare and travel sectors.

  • Provided contractual and related advice to a national joint venture company in respect of its wholesale and retail foreign exchange note distribution systems and contracts.
  • Advised German manufacturing client in connection with its tender submission for the delivery of goods in connection with oil refinery joint venture project in the Middle East, including in relation to the prescribed terms and conditions of purchase, security requirements (in the form of performance and bank guarantees) and all associated commercial and request for quotation documentation.
