Caroline is a Senior Associate in Kennedys’ London office.

Caroline is also a qualified adult, paediatric and community nurse and prior to qualifying as a solicitor she worked in a variety of healthcare settings for 20 years. As a senior nurse she combined her clinical practice with academic research, lecturing and managerial roles.

She is skilled at analysing medical records, dealing with experts and undertaking a forensic approach to claims.

Caroline has expertise in personal injury, employers’ liability, and stress and harassment claims acting for insurers and Lloyd’s syndicates as well as healthcare providers. She currently specialises in technically complex high value medical devices liability claims.

Caroline is a pragmatic and commercially astute litigator who achieves positive results for her clients with successful outcomes at trial and discontinuances before trial. She promotes alternative dispute resolution including mediation and round table settlement negotiation and has recently been involved in managing complex successful arbitrations involving a number of orthopaedic product recall claims.

Caroline is a regular contributor to client publications and provides seminars and training to clients. She has undertaken in-house secondments and has developed guidelines for claims management. She is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL).
