  • Defended a wide range of clinical negligence claims on behalf of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, the Medical Protection Society, medical malpractice insurers, private hospitals, doctors, dentists, nurses and allied health professionals including high value cerebral palsy, patients in vegetative state, obstetric claims (with largest claim pleaded over HK$100 million)
  • Handled the discount rate trial conducted and decided in January 2013 Chan Pak Ting v Chan Chi Kuen [2013] HKEC 202 setting out 3 discount rates for future needs
  • Represented clients in patient’s complaints, mediation and Coroner inquests (involving the death of a local tycoon whose family has engaged 3 Counsel to represent them at the inquest)
  • Provided strategic and procedural advice to clients on wide range of health law issues, policy issues and disciplinary matters
  • Advised insurer clients on policy related issues including professional indemnity policies, public liability policies, and contractors’ all risks policies and advising governmental bodies in employees’ compensation policies.
