Motor Webinar Wednesdays

We are delighted to be hosting the next session in our 2025 Motor Webinar Wednesdays series, taking place on 22 October.

During this session chaired by Kennedys Partner Sandip Sidhu, she will be joined by Senior Associate Stephen Hill who will explore the Scottish Compulsory Personal Injury Pre-Action Protocol (CPAP) and Qualified One-way Costs Shifting (QOCS).

We are also pleased to welcome back guest speaker Rachael Czaja of KRK Legal, who will discuss credit hire claims, with a particular focus on taxi claims.

Topics will include:

• Scottish CPAP – key aspects, potential pitfalls to avoid, and tracking opponent behaviour to ensure claimant compliance.
• QOCS – key differences between Scotland, and England and Wales, along with main exceptions and recent case law.
• Determining the correct measure of loss in taxi claims.
• Emerging behaviours in taxi claims, including the use of Exception 1.
