We are delighted to be hearing from our construction sector specialists for our annual construction half day conference on Tuesday 27 January 2026.
This conference will look into the challenges facing the construction industry and its insurers as we delve into what 2026 has in store for the sector. Throughout the conference, we will hear from Kennedys' experts sat across the following teams:
- Catastrophic injury, who regularly deal with civil claims on construction sites, vicarious liability and complex liability between principal contractors, subcontractors and labour suppliers.
- Construction and engineering, who act for insurers defending claims under CAR, EAR, property damage and building policies; and who act for all parties in the construction supply chain when non-insured disputes arise.
- Professional liability, who review claims arising from errors in professional services, particularly focusing on the transition from post Grenfell cladding claims to Building Safety Act claims.
- Health and safety, who defend and advise our clients facing investigations and proceedings for corporate manslaughter, gross negligence, HSE prosecutions, environmental matters and coroner's inquests.
- Insolvency and corporate, who advise parties on navigating insolvency processes, and on business structures, mergers, acquisitions, commercial contracts, governance and joint ventures.
- Projects and construction, who provide advice to employers, contractors, consultants and sub-consultants carrying out construction work.
Finally, we will be providing a view from in-house counsel and what they look for from their insurers, brokers and advisers. During this session we will be joined by guest speaker Rob Browning, Head of Legal at Gardiner & Theobald.
The conference will be interactive and we welcome your contribution to the discussion. Please see below for the agenda:
