Hayden Dempsey

Hayden is a senior associate in Kennedys’ Wellington office. He has a broad civil litigation practice and acts primarily in professional indemnity, statutory liability and construction related disputes. His experience also includes commercial and residential property claims, consumer protection actions, corporate governance disputes, judicial review, insolvency issues, and general contract and tort claims.

He has appeared in the Courts at all levels, as well as in specialist Tribunals. Hayden has experience in all areas of alternative dispute resolution, including mediations, construction adjudications and arbitrations.

Hayden graduated from Victoria University of Wellington and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2017.

Prior to joining Kennedys, Hayden worked at a national law firm, specialising in civil and commercial litigation, insolvency, and construction disputes.
