Michael is an associate and a member of the coverage team in the Philadelphia office. He advises national and international insurers in coverage disputes including those arising from commercial, general liability, professional liability, D&O, toxic tort and catastrophic loss policies. Michael has experience defending insurers against extra-contractual bad faith claims in state and federal court and at both the trial and appellate levels.
Prior to joining Kennedys, Michael was an associate at an AmLaw firm and focused on complex appeals and commercial litigation. He also clerked for the Chief Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and then for an Associate Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, where he served as a primary or contributing author on dozens of opinions.
During law school, Michael was an article editor for the Dickinson Law Review and captain of the national trial team. He interned at the antitrust division of the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office and served as a summer law clerk for a Judge on the Pennsylvania Superior Court and for the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
