Nicola Dolan

Nicola is an associate within the public sector, abuse and specialist liability team, based in Newcastle.

Nicola joined Kennedys in March 2024 as part of the growing Newcastle office, having worked for many years in EL/PL practice, for both Claimants and Defendants. She brought with her a wealth of knowledge and experience from both areas of practice.

Her work involves representing local authorities, care and health providers and schools both directly and through their insurers in a wide variety of claims involving allegations of historical abuse, alleged failings by children’s and adult’s social care, data breaches and alleged breaches of the Human Rights Act.

In addition to her legal practice, Nicola has been involved in delivering bespoke training on such subjects as data breach, failure to remove and the Human Rights Act.

Nicola graduated from the University of Northumbria in 2007 with a degree in Law and LPC. She then completed a Masters degree at the University of Oxford.

Qualifications:

• Qualified in England and Wales in 2014.
