Walid is an associate in the New York office. He focuses his practice on construction litigation, including construction injury, construction defect claims, property damage claims, New York Labor Law litigation and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Kennedys, Walid was a partner at a national law firm, where he focused his practice on representing insurance carriers in litigation and cases involving fraud and special investigations. He also gained extensive experience at large national defense firms in both Florida and New York, litigating thousands of cases. Walid’s experience includes handling summary judgment motions, motions in limine, depositions, mediations and arbitrations and managing cases through all stages of litigation in Florida and New York.
Walid brings a strong law enforcement background to his legal practice. Before attending law school, he was sponsored to attend the Police Academy at Broward College, where he received the Award of Outstanding Achievement in Physical Training. He then served as a Police Officer in Florida.
Walid also served as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens, New York City, where he prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies and presented evidence before grand juries. His combined experience in law enforcement and prosecution provides him with a strategic and practical perspective in defending clients and navigating complex litigation matters.
