Roman is an associate in the New York office. He specializes in insurance defense and has experience handling matters involving construction site accidents, property damage claims, construction defect claims, premises liability, New York Labor Law litigation and commercial litigation.
He regularly handles cases involving New York Labor Law section 200, section 240 and section 241 claims along with contractual indemnity claims. He handles various construction cases, involving construction defect claims, construction accidents, code violations and building and design-related deficiencies. His clients include property owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, commercial landlords and tenants, among other clients.
Before joining Kennedys, Roman was an associate at a prominent insurance defense firm in New York City, where he gained extensive experience defending a broad range of clients, in high-stakes litigation involving claims under New York Labor Law, premises liability and property damage. In addition to his litigation work, Roman was actively involved in a firm-wide initiative focused on investigating potentially fraudulent personal injury claims and compiling data in support of the insurer’s RICO lawsuit targeting law firms and medical service providers that facilitated fraudulent New York construction claims.
Roman graduated cum laude from New York Law School. He is also admitted in the states of New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
