Melanie is an associate in the New York office, where she focuses her practice on insurance defense. She represents clients including owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, commercial landlords and tenants, in commercial general liability claims. Her work primarily involves construction litigation under New York Labor Law and premises liability.
Prior to Kennedys, Melanie worked for a national insurance company, managing complex professional liability and general liability claims. She also has experience in insurance coverage and has defended manufacturers in mass tort asbestos litigation.
During law school, Melanie served as the President of the Healthcare Law and Policy Association and worked at the New York State Attorney General’s Office on cases involving the prosecution of major opioid manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies.
