Kelly Maloney is an associate in the New York office, where she focuses her practice on insurance defense.
Prior to Kennedys, Kelly served as a prosecutor at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office for more than a decade, holding several positions across multiple bureaus within the District Attorney’s office. Kelly served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Violent Criminal Enterprises Bureau, where she was the lead prosecutor on multiple long term conspiracy investigations related to gang activity. Most notably, she prosecuted a case involving a rivalry between opposition gangs that culminated in the arrest of thirty-two gang members indicted and convicted with charges relating to two homicides and nineteen non-fatal shootings.
Most recently, she served as the Deputy Bureau Chief for Grand Jury in the Domestic Violence Bureau, where she supervised Assistant District Attorneys through all phases of grand jury proceedings involving intimate partner violence and elder abuse, including homicides and sexual assaults.
Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University at Albany and is a graduate of Albany Law School, where she served as the executive editor of the Albany Government Law Review.
