Janine is special counsel in the New York office, where she concentrates her practice on complex corporate and commercial litigation. As an experienced litigator, she represents clients in a wide range of matters including, commercial and corporate disputes, employment, financial and D&O defense. Janine also advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment-related matters, including discrimination, harassment and retaliation, whistleblowing and First Amendment retaliation, fraud, defamation and contract claims.
Janine has extensive experience handling matters in both federal and state courts across multiple jurisdictions. She started her career as a prosecutor in the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office before transitioning to civil litigation. In that role, she handled an expansive range of cases, in all phases of litigation through trial and appeal. Her civil litigation experience includes commercial disputes, employment discrimination, 1983 claims, Title VI, VII and IX claims, breach of contract, fraud, defamation, maritime, professional liability, construction defect, NY Labor Law, medical malpractice and general liability.
Janine formerly served as an arbitrator in Bronx Small Claims Court.
