Sarah is a Special Counsel in Kennedys Melbourne office with almost thirty years of experience practising in the jurisdiction of health law.

Sarah’s practice is focused on the medical sector, where she has extensive experience assisting and defending medical practitioners and public and private hospitals with County Court and Supreme Court compensation claims for alleged medical negligence, Coronial Inquests, disciplinary proceedings before the Medical Board of Australia, hearings at VCAT, conciliation at the Office of the Health Complaints Commissioner, Medicare Australia inquiries, investigations undertaken by Medicines & Poisons Regulation (Health Department of Victoria), non‑litigated compensation claims and WorkSafe audits.

Sarah has expertise in matters before health practitioner boards, disputes with Colleges (specialist training and accreditation), hospitals and medical clinics, and criminal allegations against medical practitioners.

Sarah has been a member of the Medico-Legal Society of Victoria since 1997.
