Lily Thornley

Lily is an Associate in Kennedys’ Melbourne office specialising in employment law and commercial workplace disputes. She has experience assisting in employment matters, acting for both private clients and medical professionals through their insurers. Lily also has broad experience acting for employees in public sector underpayment claims.

Prior to admission, Lily was working on a significant cross-jurisdictional international insurance dispute in 2024, and has gained experience in the areas of professional indemnity, general insurance, cyber and data privacy, as well as financial lines when rotating through the firm as a Graduate in 2025.

Outside of legal work, Lily is an active contributor to Kennedys, being involved in the Women at Kennedys network, a wellbeing champion arranging wellbeing initiatives, and the organiser of the Kennedys’ Melbourne office social futsal and netball teams.
