Yamin Butt

Yamin Butt is an associate in the London aviation team at Kennedys and qualified as a solicitor in 2021.

He acts for airlines, insurers, and other aviation stakeholders on a wide range of aviation liability and regulatory matters. Since joining Kennedys in June 2023, he has been involved in managing cross-border claims relating to flight delays, baggage issues, personal injury, and regulatory compliance within the aviation sector.

Prior to joining Kennedys, Yamin Butt gained extensive litigation experience at several leading UK law firms, where he specialised in personal injury, motor, employers’ liability, and fraud defence claims. His background includes managing fast-track and multi-track litigated claims, conducting detailed liability investigations, drafting pleadings, instructing counsel, and advocating at hearings.

Yamin Butt has worked with a wide range of insurer clients across Europe and has experience handling complex and high-value litigation matters. He is known for his commercially aware approach and ability to deliver efficient and effective solutions for his clients.

Before qualifying as a solicitor, he gained valuable legal skills working as a paralegal where he supported Solicitors in dealing with catastrophic injury and international personal injury claims valuing up to £10 million.
