Ollie is a Partner in our London office, and is the firm’s EMEA Head of Cyber and Data. Ollie’s focus is on advising both insurers and corporate entities on cyber incident response, data and privacy issues.

Ollie qualified with Kennedys in 2012, and has been instrumental in the development of Kennedys UK and global cyber offering and regularly spends time in other offices.

Ollie is a founding member of Kennedys cyber incident response team, which provides 24/7/365 capability to respond to cyber incidents. He has acted as a breach coach for a wide range of data incidents for all major sectors including multi-national e-commerce brands, leading professional service firms, healthcare entities, financial institutions, manufacturers and the leisure industry. This includes advising on regulatory notifications, contractual and supply chain risk, business interruption and communication strategies.

Ollie often acts on high-profile global cyber which require notifications across numerous jurisdictions. He benefits from Kennedys ability to utilise its worldwide footprint to advise on data breaches affecting every major jurisdiction.

Ollie’s experience also allows him to provide pro-active support to organisations looking to improve their cyber resilience. He regularly advises a wide range of organisations on data privacy and security risks and advises them on developing privacy policies which comply with global regulatory frameworks, as well as incident response plans.

Ollie is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL), regularly speaks at industry events both in the UK and overseas, and is a co-host of Kennedys' Cyber Sounds podcast. Ollie is a co-author of the latest edition of Kennedys’ Claims Handling Law and Practice Guide which was published in February 2021 and supplemented in 2002.

  • Advising a globally recognised fashion brand in relation to a significant cyber incident impacting several million data subjects, and impacting over 200 legal jurisdictions.
  • Acting for a leading furniture retailer in relation to a ransomware attack severely impacting its operations.
  • Advising a Food & Beverage company in relation to a ransomware attack impacting on-premise and cloud infrastructure and leading to interruption to distribution channels.
  • Acting for a Manage Service Provider with several hundred clients, who suffered a network outage leading to claims from dozens of clients.
  • Advising a logistics company in relation to their cyber resilience framework.
  • Advising a luxury car brand on GDPR compliance and the use of vehicle telematics.
  • Advising in relation to the regulatory and commercial impact of spyware being deployed on personal devices leading to privacy and data-related issues.
