Aron Cheung
Profile
Aron is a senior associate in the financial and political risk team. He is an Australian qualified lawyer based in the London office, and was part of the team that established the Kennedys Brisbane office.
Aron has significant experience advising insurers and reinsurers on complex coverage issues in Australia and the United Kingdom, with a focus on financial institutions, directors’ and officers’ (D&O) liability, civil liability, crime, bankers blanket bond (BBB) / fidelity, and trade credit and political risk policies. He has also acted as monitoring counsel, and coordinating counsel in cases involving international jurisdictions.
His practice in Australia included defending coverage disputes involving trade credit claims from alleged commodity trading in Asia, and advising on property, contractors’ all risk, business interruption, and industrial special risk matters. He has acted in the defence of litigated, large-scale construction and financial disputes in the Supreme Courts of Queensland and New South Wales, and the Federal Court of Australia.
