Profile

Vicki is a senior associate in our Scottish liability team. She qualified in 2013, is also a Notary Public, and has undertaken postgraduate study in International Dispute Resolution. She joined Kennedy’s in 2026 and is based in our Edinburgh office.

Vicki has a broad insurance litigation practice and regularly acts for insurers and public sector organisations, including local authorities. Vicki regularly represents clients in the Sheriff Courts and specialises in high-value cases in the Court of Session. She has significant experience managing claims involving allegations of negligent design, defective construction, employer liability, public liability, complex personal injury disputes and fatal accident inquiries.

Vicki has also previously acted for claimants in personal injury litigation earlier in her career. This experience provides valuable insight into claimant strategy and approach, which informs her advice to insurers and insured clients when defending complex claims.

In addition to personal injury work, Vicki also advises insurers and professionals in professional negligence claims, with experience in matters involving construction disputes. Prior to returning to private practice, Vicki held legal advisory roles within Police Scotland where she advised on a range of operational and regulatory matters, including high-profile investigations and incidents involving significant public scrutiny. This experience provides her with a strong understanding of the investigative processes and regulatory considerations that can arise following serious incidents.
