Alex Diaz is an associate in the Chicago office, where she represents insurers in matters involving commercial insureds in both first-party and third-party liability matters. She has experience evaluating and advising clients on coverage issues under primary, umbrella and excess policies across a wide range of insurance lines, including general liability, commercial auto, hired and non-owned auto, employment practices liability, directors and officers, public entity management, professional liability, cyber, environmental, commercial property and manuscript policies.

In addition to providing legal and strategic claims advice, Alex represents clients nationwide in insurance coverage and extracontractual litigation. She began her career handling Illinois declaratory judgment actions involving insurer-issued disclaimers and now focuses on complex coverage and extracontractual matters.

Prior to Kennedys, Alex was an associate at a national boutique law firm that exclusively represents insurers in complex coverage and extracontractual matters. She previously practiced in the insurance coverage group of an AmLaw 100 firm.

During law school, Alex earned a certificate in litigation and alternative dispute resolution and was an active member of the Society of Women in the Law and Hispanic Latino Law Student Association.
