Rebecca Gibb specialises in the defence of complex and high value clinical negligence claims on behalf of NHS Resolution for Trusts and GPs.

Rebecca also represents and advocates for Trusts at Inquests. Her experience covers a range of clinical practice, including obstetrics, neurosurgery, neonatology, orthopaedics and paediatrics. She successfully handles cases involving periodical payments, novel legal arguments and complex technical issues, such as challenges to the discount rate.

Rebecca resolves many cases out of proceedings and is a frequent user of ADR. Rebecca investigates and advises on pre-action obstetric cases pursuant to NHS Resolution’s Early Notification Scheme and has a special interest in promoting safe practice in hospitals to help avoid obstetric adverse incidents.

Rebecca has a keen interest in Healthtech and the implications and likely liabilities associated with the use of artificial intelligence in clinical practice.

Rebecca leads on global Healthtech work for the Healthcare Division, attending seminars and having articles published in this speciality.

Rebecca is actively involved in the supervision of trainees and junior lawyers within the office and also provides training sessions for hospital trusts and GPs to help foster improvements in clinical practice.
