Shiho is a Senior Associate in the Insurance team at Kennedys, based in Brisbane. With close to ten years of experience in insurance law, she delivers strategic advice and representation across a wide range of insurance matters. Prior to joining Kennedys, she worked at a prominent international law firm, where she was part of both the Insurance and Japan practice teams.

She has extensive experience working with Australian and international insurers and reinsurers, as well as self-insurers and government clients, providing coverage advice, assessing risk exposure, and defending complex insurance claims and litigation. Her current practice at Kennedys also focuses on coverage issues involving trade credit insurance.

Fluent in English and Japanese, she regularly assists clients based in Australia and Japan who require bilingual legal support. Her cross-cultural expertise ensures clear communication and tailored solutions for international clients navigating complex legal landscapes.

Outside of Kennedys, Shiho serves as a co-chair of Australia-Japan Businesswomen’s Network (AJBWN), an international network of over 900 members.  In this role, she contributes to thought leadership and professional development, fostering cross-border collaboration and supporting women in business across Australia and Japan.
