Emma Taylor is a legal director based in Kennedy’s Birmingham office. She qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2012.

Emma represents local authorities in relation to a wide variety of claims including employers and public liability and has experience also in dealing with motor and fraud claims.

Emma has a focus on dealing with highways matters in addition to claims involving stress, harassment and bullying, as well as abuse. She has experience in dealing with catastrophic injury work including cases involving traumatic brain injury and functional neurological disorders.

Emma has dealt with a private prosecution for a public sector client and obtained a committal of a fraudulent claimant to prison for contempt of court, following a finding of fundamental dishonesty at trial.

Emma has provided training to clients on a wide variety of matters including highways and motor updates and fundamental dishonesty. Emma recently spent 2 years working alongside a major insurer client providing technical advice and assistance to their handlers at the pre-litigation stage in order to drive a change in litigation rates. This also included a raft of in-house on many matters including best practice and procedures for claims handling and technical training on general highways matters and Public Rights of Way.
