The Association of Young Insurance Professionals (AJPS) has launched the Alfonso de Ramos Excellence Scholarship to Boost Young Talent.
In honour of our colleague Alfonso de Ramos, who sadly passed away in February 2025, the AJPS in Spain has established the Alfonso de Ramos Scholarship for Excellence to foster the professional growth of young individuals aged 35 and under who aim to start or strengthen their careers in the insurance industry through specialized education.
This scholarship provides financial assistance to help recipients access advanced studies and training programs in the insurance sector. Its goal is to encourage the development of a new generation of professionals in a field that plays a vital role in the economy and in safeguarding individuals and society as a whole.
Candidates (residents of Spain) can apply until March 15 using the form found here.
Alicia Fole, Secretary General of the AJPS in Spain and Paula Petit, who both worked closely with Alfonso, were instrumental in the organisation and implementation of the scholarship.
Kennedys will support this effort by hosting the scholarship award ceremony in their office in Madrid.
Alfonso was a staunch supporter of young insurance professionals, mentoring the trainees and new lawyers at Kennedys’ office in Madrid and this is the perfect way to honour his memory.
