Chambers Europe 2026: Kennedys ranked in Ireland and Spain

We are pleased to share that our insurance, dispute resolution, healthcare and shipping teams in Ireland and Spain have once again been recognised in the latest edition of Chambers Europe 2026, with strong departmental and individual rankings across both jurisdictions. The Chambers research continues to reflect the high regard in which our teams are held by clients and peers alike.

We value the highly personalised service, immediate attention and specialists in the field that the firm offers.

Our Ireland Insurance: Dispute Resolution practice has maintained its Band 3 ranking, reflecting the team’s continued strength in advising insurers and reinsurers on complex disputes and coverage issues. In addition to this team recognition, clients singled out Joanne O’Sullivan for her exceptional performance, describing her as “simply brilliant, both as a lawyer and as a team leader.”

In Spain, our Insurance practice has also retained its Band 2 ranking, underlining the team’s reputation for high‑quality advice across contentious and non‑contentious insurance matters. Within this practice, clients praised Ricardo Garrido, with one client recognising him as “without a doubt, one of the best lawyers I have ever met.”

Clients also applauded José González Pellicer for his work in Shipping in Spain, with feedback noting he “stands out for his availability and meticulous attention to every matter,” and that he delivers “clear, agile and well‑founded responses, maintaining fluid and proactive communication with the client.”

We are especially proud of the feedback from our clients, which truly reflects the dedication and commitment of our team at Kennedys.

These rankings follow the recent release of the Chambers France and Chambers Global guides and reflect the continued confidence clients and peers place in our teams across Europe. The Chambers Europe rankings are based on extensive independent research, including detailed feedback from clients and market commentators, and recognise firms and lawyers who demonstrate outstanding technical expertise, strong client service and consistently high-quality work.

We are grateful to our clients and colleagues who took the time to provide feedback during the research process, and we extend our congratulations to all those recognised in this year’s guide.
