Kennedys is pleased to announce that we have been selected to join the DIANA Legal Connect network, an initiative launched by NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA).
DIANA was created by NATO in 2022 to help develop dual-use technologies that address challenges affecting security and defence. DIANA supports companies working on solutions in key sectors identified by the Alliance.
Through DIANA Legal Connect, we will work with innovators in the DIANA programme to offer tailored legal advice that supports the growth and development of such innovation. With over 115 alumni innovators and more than 150 new innovators joining annually, the network is quickly becoming a fundamental part of NATO's innovation strategy.
For companies developing dual-use technologies, legal challenges can pose barriers. The Legal Connect network is designed to bridge this gap through the availability of trusted firms offering tailored legal advice to support such innovators in their development of dual-use technologies.
With offices in the UK, EMEA, US, APAC and LatAm, Kennedys’ is well positioned to support DIANA’s mission and to help ensure legal issues do not become a barrier to innovation. We are able to offer a wealth of experience, supporting innovators as they navigate all stages of their business including testing, funding, procurement and development.
Andy Brown, Global Head of Corporate & Commercial at Kennedys commented: “We are proud to be part of the DIANA Legal Connect network and look forward to supporting DIANA’s mission to accelerate innovation across the Alliance. Joining Legal Connect isn’t just about providing legal expertise – it is about being part of a network where knowledge, collaboration and innovation come together to empower development in security and defence sectors. We look forward to working with some of the pioneering companies in deep tech and defence innovation.”
