Applications for Kennedys Singapore Relevant Legal Training (RLT) and Practice Training Contracts (PTC) are open to law students who:

  • Have achieved, or are on course to achieve, a 2:1 degree or higher*
  • Have relevant internship experience
  • Have a desire to undertake the work Kennedys Legal Solutions specialises in; Aviation, Commercial Litigation, Corporate, Insurance, Liability Defence and Marine.

Kennedys PTC commences every January and there will be 3 Seats (1 Core Seat, 2 Secondary Seats) across different practice areas spanning across the 12-month period: 3 months, 6 months, 3 months. RLT remains as 6 months, and our RLT commences around August each year. All trainees will be assigned a mentor and Partner (Supervising Solicitor) to help guide and support them through their PTC/RLT.  To apply for our PTC or RLT, please submit your application via our Kennedys Careers Portal.

Note:

  • Any degree obtained from an overseas university must be in line with SILE’s regulations on approved universities.
  • All applicants must have the right to work in Singapore.

As a Kennedys Trainee you will:

  • Be given opportunities to use and enhance your legal skills through working with our teams across our core practices.
  • Learn directly from partners and senior lawyers, shadowing them at Court and at client meetings.
  • Assist in a wide range of tasks including but not limited to: file management, complex research, drafting of legal documents, attending court hearings and client meetings.
  • Be given exposure to our global practice to give you a varied and high-quality workload.

Our partners and senior lawyers will:

  • Help you develop an understanding of the legal landscape in Singapore and our global practice.
  • Provide you with mentoring support and work supervision.
  • Support your development and technical training.
