On 12th September 2016, the Korean Bankruptcy Court ordered that the original timetable for creditors to report claims and the receiver to submit the Hanjin rehabilitation plan should be revised.

On 31st August, Hanjin Shipping Co Ltd filed to the Korean Court for court receivership following the withdrawal of credit facilities by banks and other creditors. Hanjin has applied for a protection of assets in the Seoul Central District court.
