Attended by a mix of solicitors, claims experts and a member of the Professional Rugby Association, this thought-provoking workshop focused on ‘giving and receiving effective feedback’ and was run by Dr David Priestley, head of psychology and personal development at Arsenal Football Club; Toni Minichiello, the former coach of athlete Jessica Ennis-Hill; and Giles Mountford, managing director of Dair Ltd. Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech was also in attendance for an engaging and informative panel Q&A session.
Introducing delegates to the ‘feedforward’ principle, the workshop explored the core concepts and frameworks on providing feedback. Using a variety of interactive methods, participants were shown how these concepts could be used in both the workplace and their personal lives.
The Professional Development Programme, now in its fifth year, is run in partnership with AGCS and Saracens Rugby Football Club. Due to a change in fixture schedules, Saracens were unable to attend this year’s event.
Commenting on the event Jonathan Evans, partner at Kennedys, said:
“These workshops provide an invaluable opportunity for delegates to learn from each other’s skills and experiences across a variety of industries, as well as gaining insight into practical theory that can be applied to their everyday and professional lives.”
