Recent developments in construction law

We are delighted to invite you to our seminar on "Recent developments in construction law".

According to public statements released by the Building and Construction Authority, the awarded values of construction projects in the years between 2021 to 2023 ranged from about SGD 30 billion to SGD 33.8 billion which based on figures taken from the Department of Statistics, translates to between 3.0 and 3.5% of our total GDP for those years. For 2024, the Building and Construction Authority estimates that the value of construction projects awarded this year would range between SGD 32 billion and SGD 38 billion.

With such high stakes involved, it is important for construction players to ensure that they are protected contractually to reduce their risks or at the very least know the risks within their contracts while competing for a slice of the construction pie.

Join us for a look at the recent developments in the construction industry in Singapore where we explore why it is imperative that construction players be fully aware with the specificity of the terms in their contracts and, more importantly, to be alive to potential pitfalls within their contracts.
