Attorneys

We are looking for associates to join our New Jersey office for the following practice areas:

  • Mid-to-senior level associate with defense litigation experience handling cases from inception through conclusion, including all aspects of discovery and trial; and
  • Mid-to-senior level associate with at least 5 years’ experience in commercial real estate transactions.

Summer associates

The Kennedys CMK Summer Associate Program, designed primarily for second-year students, is an integral part of our associate hiring program. Summer associates get a realistic view of life as an attorney at our firm. They are exposed to a wide variety of work with as many of our lawyers as possible.

We do not limit summer associates to basic tasks like performing research or writing memos. Our summer associates meet with clients, draft pleadings and discovery responses, and accompany our attorneys to meetings, depositions, and court appearances. We also provide feedback and mentoring, as well as in-house seminars on a variety of topics. In short, we give summer associates a realistic view of what it’s like to practice law in our firm, so they, and we, can make an informed decision about continuing a working relationship after graduation.

Training and development

With this in mind, we offer in-house training programs and continuing legal education for all our lawyers.

We also encourage our people to stay abreast of changes in laws, statutes, regulations and codes in their areas of practice, and our lawyers regularly participate in Continuing Education Programs (CLE), professional seminars and other substantive training.
