About us

Kennedys is established in Dubai as Kennedys Dubai LLP, which is registered with the Court of His Highness The Ruler of Dubai, and holds a professional licence issued by the Dubai Department of Economic Development.

Established in 2006, the Dubai office is a highly regarded centre for commercial legal advice in the dynamic Gulf Region. Our lawyers are qualified in a number of jurisdictions, including England & Wales, Republic of Ireland, Hong Kong, India, and New Zealand; they lecture widely on legal topics.

As such we are well placed and experienced in dealing with the particular challenges of the rapidly evolving marketplace that characterises the Gulf Region. Our teams are led by five partners experienced in construction, insurance and re-insurance, general commercial litigation, and aviation (financing, leasing and disputes).

Our core businesses are construction and engineering (both contentious and non-contentious/project documentation), insurance and reinsurance, and general commercial litigation.

Our client base includes local companies and organisations, and international businesses with a presence in the Gulf Region.

We are regarded as leaders, not just because we have some of the most respected legal minds in their field - but because we know it's important to be practical, commercial and approachable. We give clear legal advice. That means:

Answers - not just more questions
Recommendations - not just options
Strategy and tactics - not just a legal view in a vacuum
Clear language - not legalese, clauses and caveats

We call this: Legal advice in black and white.
